Satoko is a landscape architect and senior associate at TEN x TEN.  She has extensive experience in innovative public engagement, visual research and storytelling, and grass-roots urban regenerative strategies through community empowerment. Satoko engages the design process through listening and research to discover the particular qualities of a site's communities, social and economic complexities and layered histories.  She excels at visualizing concepts and ideas that emerge from large and diverse teams of constituents, stakeholders and colleagues working together.

Prior to TEN x TEN, Satoko worked as a landscape designer at Cuningham Group providing schematic concepts, graphic communication materials and technical drawings for projects of multiple scales both private and public.  She was also a research fellow at Metropolitan Design Center working with diverse community groups to develop regenerative urban design strategies.
